Born in Sweden in 1962, Fredrik Sixten is a Swedish composer, cathedral organist and conductor. He studied composition with Professor Sven-David Sandström and earned his Bachelor of Arts at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Although much of his choral output is liturgical, his openness has led to commissions like an opera in English about Henning Mankell’s detective Wallander for Tübingen Oper in Germany; a carol for American all-male choir Chanticleer and a lullaby for one of the Royal Swedish Family’s christenings.
The English Baroque Choir (EBC) was formed in 1978 and has become one of London’s finest choirs, developing a reputation for musicality, imaginative programming and choral enthusiasm.
Lead by Jeremy Jackman, Director of Music, the choir regularly performs in St John’s Smith Square, St Martin-in- the-Fields and other premier London venues, receiving plaudits for its professionalism and energy.
Jeremy Jackman is the former chorus master to the London Philharmonic Choir and is currently the Musical Director of both the English Baroque Choir, and the Cecilian Singers.
He studied at the Royal College of Music and Hull University, and has a vast background performing with ensembles such as the BBC Singers, the countertenor Lay Clerk at Westminster Cathedral and as a member of the celebrated King’s Singers.
The London Nordic Choir (LNC) is an independent 25-person strong choir uniting those with a passion for choral singing and capturing and promoting the unique sound of the traditional Nordic choral works.
With performances in York Minster, Liverpool Cathedral, and Royal Festival Hall; the choir is celebrated for its lyrical interpretations and dynamic tone.
Carina Einarson studied music at Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm with Professor Eric Ericson among others.
During her time in London, she has formed the London Nordic Choir, been the Director of Music at the Swedish Church, performed on BBC3, and led several evensongs in St Paul's Cathedral (one of which with commissioned music). She has conducted at prestigious venues such as Royal Festival Hall, York Minster, St John’s Smith Square and the Old Bailey.
